The countdown to Alpha in Tullamore has ended:

Group preparing for Alpha 2012 - Church of the Assumption,

Have you got to a stage in your life where you are looking for more meaning in life?
Are you searching for something in life but you don't know what it is?
Have you gone through difficulties over the last year?
Would you like to explore your Christian Faith more?
Do you find yourself drifting through life?
Have you ever asked yourself “Is there more to life than this”?

The Alpha Course touches lives. So many people have found a personal relationship with God & a quiet strength in their life after doing the course.
Alpha is a non-pressured, fun and informative course, and it shows us how Christianity can be relevant and empowering to our lives. It is a place to relax, share your thoughts and explore the meaning of life.

Since last February 170 parishioners from Tullamore have completed an Alpha Course. At Masses on Sunday 15th January 2012 members of the Parish Team shared their experiences of the Alpha Course and were available to answer any questions which arose.

Two new courses will start this month in Tullamore - the first one begins on Monday 30th January at 10.30am and the second one will be run on Tuesday 31st January at 8.00pm.
Both Courses will be run in the Day Chapel.

The course lasts around 10 weeks and is free of charge.
The first night is a “come and see” evening, the short talk is called “Christianity: Boring, untrue, irrelevant?”
